Hee hee...sorry about that! Ya see, Galactus had the latest update all ready ta go out an’ I decided ta move around somma them ones and zeroes he had layin’ there. He’s been mumblin’ in Bharkeesh for the last few days, but I think he’s got it all fixed now. Ya should notice a performance improvement on the 3GS devices and the shop crash has been fixed in the 1.2.1 update. He tells me the update should be out soon, so keep checkin’ the App Store.
Exportin’ the save is as easy as one, two...er....three! Just follow these steps, and you’ll be blastin’ asteroids in the full version faster than a greased space slug on a slide!
Well young’un, I can’t imagine why ya’d wanna change it, but it’ll be possible in Space Miner version 1.1.1 and up. It all depends on what operatin’ system you have on yer device. If yer still runnin’ the 2.2.1 OS, all ya need to do is start your playlist before launchin’ Space Miner. When the game starts, yer music will continue playin’! If yer runnin’ a 3.0 OS or higher, you can swap between in-game music and yer playlists. Go to the Options menu and select “Sound Options”. From there, you can turn “My Music” on. This’ll play yer current playlist. If ya’d like to change the playlist, press the “New Playlist” button. When yer done, yer music will play using the play controls in the “Now Playing” box on the right.
Is this one ’a them philosophical questions? There really ain’t an “up” in space, ya see…. Oh, right, anyway, about that pesky little headphone jack…. Startin’ in version 1.1.1 of Space Miner: Space Ore Bust, you can flip the device over so the headphone jack will be out of the way! You can also flip it over ’cause it’s just kinda fun to do! Look I’m upside down! Wheee!
Aw, shucks. I’m sorry yer havin’ problems with the game. I need more information to be able to help ya. First, can ya send me yer crash logs? Here’s where you can find ‘em. Make sure to sync yer device first:
Mac OS X:
~/Library/Logs/CrashReporter/MobileDevice/<DEVICE_NAME>Windows XP:
C:\Documents and Settings\<USERNAME>\Application Data\Apple computer\Logs\CrashReporter/<DEVICE_NAME>Windows Vista / Windows 7:
C:\Users\<USERNAME>\AppData\Roaming\Apple computer\Logs\CrashReporter/MobileDevice/<DEVICE_NAME>
I’ll be havin’ you know that there are some crashes Galactus and me fixed in the last update. These crashes were fixed in the 1.1.1 Space Miner: Space Ore Bust update. If you run in to any of these, you don’t need to send us anythin’. I’ve already fixed ‘em! ...Well, Galactus did, really. But I cheered him on!
Sweet sassy molassy! No, you don’t want to shoot it! Now, those derelicts floatin’ around out there can be tricky, so follow these steps to activate ‘em:
Plus+ is one o’them new-fangled social play networks. It lets ya to post yer high scores an’ track any Awards you earn when playin’ the game. It connects ya with a community of other gamers, an’ you can add your Space Miner: Space Ore Bust +Score to your total +Score. Don’t worry, it ain’t gonna cost you anythin’ to sign up, and there’s nothin’ you have to purchase to experience the full game.
There are two main things that go inta’ you gettin’ yer minin’ licenses. The first one is the ore ya mine. The second thing is all that there PAPERWORK! At the Gritstone Minin’ Station, all the paperwork goes through me. I gots ’ta fill out at least seventeen forms IN TRIPLICATE every time you level up. It’s a lot ’a work, let me tell you! Anyways, if I’m not at the station, ya can’t get yer minin’ license. Find me, and I’ll find the time to fill out yer papers.
Aw, that’s easy! Just start another game in New Game+ mode! If you keep yer profile from yer last playthough, you’ll see “New Game+” on yer saved game. When you start a game in New Game+, ya get to keep all yer Alien Tech from yer last playthrough. You can set the difficulty to Normal, Hard or HardcORE after loadin’ yer “New Game+” profile.
Dangnabbit! I hate to hear that happened to ya! In the 1.1.1 update, you’ll see that the difficulty mode can now be changed in the options menu, and ya have to change it in there if yer gonna change it at all. Sorry about that one, young’un! I’m not gonna say it was Galactus’ fault or anythin’, but it was definitely Galactus’ fault.
Hoo doggie, do I have some pointers! Lemme tell ya, yer old Uncle Jeb used to be the ace pilot back in the day! I’d be swooping around, shootin’ asteroids…pew pew! Those were the days! Anyhoo, there are a bunch’a different control configurations you can use to make pilotin’ yer ship easier. If ya head into the options menu, you’ll see exactly what I mean!
Now, a lot ’a Space Miners these days are usin’ the "Auto-Fire" option. Turn it on, an’ whenever you touch the fire button, yer guns will start shootin’ as fast as they can, all without you havin’ to mash the button! Touch the fire button again, an’ yer guns stop firin’. I use this one all the time - rests up my fingers fer banjo playin’ and fiddle twiddlin’!
Also, if yer havin’ trouble controllin’ yer ship in those big ’ol space battles, an’ you’ve tried upgradin’ yer engine already, maybe try turnin’ off the "Thrust Button" option, too? You’ll be able to thrust yer ship just by usin’ the control wheel, no buttons necessary! Aim yer ship by movin’ yer thumb around the center of the wheel, an’ thrust yer ship by draggin’ yer finger towards the outside of the wheel!
Oh! One more thing, young’un! All Space Minin’ ships come with emergency brakes. It’s real simple to use ’em, too! All ya gotta do is release yer fingers from the touch screen. On the other hand, if ya stop thrustin’ yer ship, but you keep yer fingers on the control pad, you can drift! This lets ya shoot enemies in one direction while yer movin’ in another! I guess that was two things there. Still, best ya remember ’em! That there are some ’a the more advanced Space Minin’ maneuvers!
Everthing on yer ship takes power, and that power has to come from somewheres! The power supply on yer ship is called yer “reactor”. You can buy better reactors from Galactus in his shop. If ya wanna see how much reactor power ya have, go to the “Equip Ship” screen and check out the “Ship Info” panel. If the reactor energy meter is green, yer good to go! If it’s red, ya need to remove some items off a’ yer ship. I always like to keep a few older items on hand just in case I need to swap ’em out fer something that takes more power. I hear there’s some Alien Tech floatin’ around the asteroid field that’ll let you use less reactor power. That might let me to finally install that blender on my ship. Ya never know when yer gonna have a hankerin’ for a smoothie!
